Growing up as a devout Buffalo Sabres fan, I idolized Sabres broadcaster Rick Jeanneret. The way he described the action, the intensity in which he called the game, and the fervor for the game of hockey, I could feel all the way from my living room in Ohio.

In college, I was fortunate enough to work with the Tampa Bay Lightning, meeting two more terrific broadcasters I admired in Dave Mishkin and Rick Peckham.  Although different in delivery, their knowledge of the game, combined with their love for the Bolts, was something I could feel in each and every call they made.

That unbridled passion all three of those broadcasters show in their preparation, work ethic and their calls is what I’m about. I want my listeners and viewers to not only be entertained for the two-and-a-half hour presentation, but I want them to feel my genuine passion in each in every call I make.

Here are some of my favorite calls I’ve had over the years with the Stockton Heat (AHL) and Stockton Thunder (ECHL).
